Many thanks to Matt Cabe and staff of the remarkable Victorville Daily Press [renown for its persistence, isolated out here in the gorgeous Mojave with all us other Lovers of Nature at its Best] for April 18 s Earth Day, a most intriguing collection of environmental issues, with dozens of huge colorful photos; reminding me of my long-held observation that us Typical Humanoids need to better appreciate M lady s Universe.
As a lifetime member of the Sierra Club, beginning eons back, when it cost only $400 to join [supposing Ken Churchill to probably be the only Letters tributor older n me], I was taken aback in the Glory of Modern Media, noting how few Letters writers had expressed their preciation when, several years ago, VDP adopted a more spectacular color system.

The good ole days
A month into Biden s presidency, and I ve yet to read, hear or see some crazy, alternative-fact-based, hateful, anti-social, twisted-reality activity coming out of the White House.
I kinda miss it. I knew that every day there would be some new controversy, factless tweet, insult or harmful policy spewed out by Trump’s regurgitation of the Fox News puppet masters. It was like watching cage fighting, waiting to see the violence, knowing any second it would happen. Now, nothing. The withdrawals are unbearable.
Now we have boring ole man Joe stumbling his way around the White House, waiting to croak any day while forgetting where his desk is. A man Republicans said was too old and decrepit to fulfill the office of President. A man with the beginnings of dementia. A man who would lose his debate with Trump so badly while wiping drool off his chin.

I was informed that there are 18 different regular annual Flu vaccine manufacturers. There is the cheap shot at $5 and the big shot at $70. Currently, there are only two different COVID-19 vaccines, but several more are coming. Does anyone wonder about Pharma sharing the different details or their care to tell the patients?

‘1619 Project’?
Richard Reeb raises some important issues in his opinion piece of Dec. 30, “Where is America’s ‘systemic’ racism?” I agree with Mr. Reeb that, “there is indeed entrenched racism in our country.” However, he makes charges and statements which do not stand up to scrutiny.
