No one claimed the bike, so Kaysville Police eventually cut the chain and hauled it off. Itâs documented in an Oct. 28, 2019, post on the Kaysville Police Department Facebook page. Three or four weeks later, though, someone placed two smaller bikes at the spot with a sign reading, âWhereâs my mom?â or something to that effect, according to Kaysville Mayor Katie Witt.

in the season of giving nothing has given the city of Kaysville more to talk about. Then this street corner. Oh, they got a dump truck on there. They got some other plastic cars. See the red bite? Yeah, that s a new one, Dale Hoffman says. Somebody has been decorating the utility poles thistles the first time they did an actual Christmas theme, and each time it has a bicycle theme to it. It apparently all started more than a year ago. So while back there was just a bike chained to a pole. And one day, the city decided, had been there too long. For over a year, somebody has been attaching bicycles to a utility pole at the corner of Fairfield Road and Crestwood Road in displays that have much of the town talking. This is the first time they did an actual Christmas theme, noted neighbor Dale Hofmann.
As of Friday, two poles were decorated one wrapped with a toy mower, dump truck, tricycle and other apparent children s gifts, and the other with two bicycles painted red.
Hofmann and others believed it was the first time two poles were part of the display instead of the typical one.
