Anna campaigned for the day following the death of her mum, a peace activist who cared for wounded soldiers on both sides of the American Civil War and created Mother’s Day work clubs to address public health issues.

Dealer group celebrates gender parity in leadership
A national advice group has revealed it is closing in on gender parity across its senior leadership roles, a change it says has improved outcomes for clients and staff.

Darren Steinhardt, managing director of Queensland headquartered dealer group Infocus, said the group had achieved a 48:52 female to male split across its national team of around 100 staff, with “many senior roles across all functions including technology, investment, strategy, and operations being led by women”.
Mr Steinhardt said the days of women being employed in primarily support or service roles within advice businesses were “mostly a bygone era” and “for clients and colleagues alike, the change is for the better”.
