KANSAS CITY, Mo. â David Colegrove seemed ready to have a happy and fulfilling retirement. After eight years as a St. Louis area police officer and another 22 years as a federal agent in Kansas City, Colegrove had set up his own business. But a few months after retiring as a law enforcement officer in September 2014, he took his own life.
