Two men have been injured in a truck rollover in Dandenong South. Ambulance Victoria paramedics were called to the corner of Monterey and Dandenong-Frankston roads about 10.25am on Monday 12 July. A man in his 50’s was in a serious, stable condition with back and lower body injuries, an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said. He was flown by air ambulance helicopter to The Alfred Hospital. The other man in his 20’s was treated for upper body injuries and was taken by road to The Alfred Hospital in a stable condition. Frankston-Dandenong Road was temporarily closed in both directions between Zenith and Abbotts roads.

Around 1am police and emergency services responded to the blaze, with the house well involved on arrival. Nearby addresses were evacuated as a precaution, however no one was injured. Following initial investigations, a crime scene was declared. A black commodore sedan was seen in the vicinity of the premises around the time the fire was reported.

Police charge woman after fatal collision in Carnegie

Date Time Police charge woman after fatal collision in Carnegie Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a woman following a fatal collision involving a pedestrian in Carnegie this morning. It’s understood a female pedestrian was crossing Dandenong Road, at the intersection of Koornang Road, when she was allegedly hit by a car about 9.15am. The pedestrian, an 80-year-old Malvern east woman, was transported to hospital but sadly died. The driver of the car, a 33-year-old Box Hill woman, stopped at the scene and has since been charged with dangerous driving causing death. She has been bailed to face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 16 June.
