But when 32-year-old Daniel Wallace appeared before a judge at the city s crown court he read aloud his letter of abject apology, telling Recorder Philip Grundy: I am deeply sorry for the offences I have committed. I regret getting mixed up in the whole mess from the start. I ve had a huge eye opener and have learned my lesson.

Carlisle man jailed for four years for drug supply A Carlisle man has been sentenced to four years for drug supply offences. Daniel Wallace, 32, of Pennine Way, was sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court today for six counts of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs as well as a further charge of producing a class B drug. The breakdown of his sentence is as follows (to run concurrently): Two years custodial sentence for possession with intent to supply class A (1st count) Three years custodial sentence for possession with intent to supply class A (2nd count)  Four years custodial sentence for possession with intent to supply class A (3rd count)

Kenan Visiting Writer Kenan Visiting Writer Applications Open for Kenan Visiting Writer The Creative Writing Program in UNC’s Department of English and Comparative Literature seeks to bring an emerging talent to campus for a one-year teaching appointment as the Kenan Visiting Writer.  For the 2021-2022 academic year, beginning August 2021, the Program requests applicants in FICTION. This one-year appointment carries a salary of $40,000. The selected candidate will teach one undergraduate creative writing course per semester, most likely at the introductory level. The selected candidate will also give one public reading and otherwise participate fully in the life of the Creative Writing Program.
