Standoff ends in arrest of man police say aimed, shot BB gun at neighbors over loose dog
VERO BEACH A man fired a BB gun once and pointed it at several of his neighbors over a loose dog, leading to an hours-long standoff with a police tactical team and hostage negotiators.
Jail records show Luis Guzman, 59, of the 1900 block of 33rd Avenue, faces two counts of aggravated assault after his arrest Wednesday night.
Police went to the home shortly before 3:30 p.m. over exchanges between Guzman and his neighbors, according to a police report.
He was arrested around 9:30 p.m.,Vero Beach Police Department arrest records show.
