The survey was released in conjunction with the launch of a national ad campaign by the America 250 Foundation, the non-profit arm of the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission that is tasked with commemorating America s 250th anniversary on July 4, 2026. The poll, according to the group, was meant to “better understand how Americans feel today” about the U.S., it’s history and its future. It was conducted with Social Science Research Solutions, Inc. (SSRS). ADVERTISEMENT The survey found that while 92 percent of American adults want to help make the U.S. a better place to live, only 38 percent of Americans adults are hopeful for a better future.
