When OceanLED returned to their offices after the Christmas break, they did so with a new Managing Director at the helm and for this leading name in underwater lights, the new year also meant a change of focus – one that puts innovation, sustainability and customer service in the spotlight.
Here, SuperYacht Times finds out from the firm s Managing Director Daniele Todaro his future plans and takes a look at what s in the pipeline for their expanding product range.
What’s on the agenda for OceanLED this year?
I can confirm that we will shortly be releasing a new lighting product, which will deliver a highly innovative solution for underwater lighting in a way never seen before. Other exciting products will follow and, along with these, we have something else in the pipeline that’s totally revolutionary - it will raise the bar for underwater lighting to a whole new level!

GEKKO’s managing director, Daniel Todaro reflects on how the Gekko team is coping with its new working from home environment amidst the pandemic and ways to boost productivity for all.
Just like many businesses, the Gekko team is continuing to work from home to ensure the safety of all. It may feel like the months have crept in and it is hard to tell the difference or define mentally, also physically between where you work and where you relax. You are not alone.
Working from home might be the only way forward for the coming months and will be for some time. Therefore, to ensure you are at your most productive it is important you recognise those bad habits you may have picked up and get back into the swing of working from home, healthily.

HOMESTEAD, Fla. – More than a decade ago, a woman took Daniel Todaro’s measurements to make him a Santa Claus suit. He was to wear it while doing service as a member of a global Catholic fraternal service order.
Todaro said he first wore it when a priest at The Our Lady of Charity National Shrine in Miami asked him to. Over the years, he has had photographers and others offer him jobs to wear the red suit, but he said he has always declined to do so because that wasn’t its purpose.
