Mark Kitts has left Liverpool City Council to join Tawd Valley Developments, a vehicle wholly-owned by the local authority, as managing director.
Kitts was assistant director for regeneration at LCC, and headed its arms-length housing company Liverpool Foundation Homes before the service was taken in-house by the council in 2020,
Following the changes, Kitts then established the council’s strategic housing delivery team, in what has been a tumultuous time for the local authority
Danielle Ashworth has also joined Tawd Valley Developments as head of development from her previous post in the same role at First Choice Homes. She has worked in the housing and construction sector for more than 15 years, mainly within housing associations.

The housing association is seeking feedback on its plans to replace two 1970s tower blocks in Oldham with 88 affordable homes, as it also announced the appointment of a new chief executive.
First Choice Homes Oldham’s West Vale proposals form part of a £160m plan to deliver 850 homes in the town over the next six years.
The scheme would include the construction of a seven-storey apartment block, located to the south-east of the two-acre site, as well as a range of house types.
D Hughes Demolition & Excavation will start knocking down the apartment blocks in May.
The project team includes PRP Architects, which designed the scheme, Markhams as employer’s agent and cost consultant, Whiteley Eaves as principal designer, engineering firm Alan Johnson Partnership, and NJL Consulting as the planning consultant.
Thirteen families have got the keys to their new homes at the Suthers Court development in Werneth.
The twelve 3-bedroom and one 4-bedroom family homes, which are all for affordable rent, are the first of the social landlord’s new properties to be completed at the development by house builder, Keepmoat Homes.
Work started on site in November 2019 and forms part of the wider regeneration of the area.
Over the next five months, First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) will be taking handover of another 32 two, three and four bedroom properties at the development located near Edward Street, north Werneth. These will enable the housing association to provide a total of 45 much needed homes to local people.
