Australian family, backed by one of South Africa s richest men, buys Larrizona Station for $17 million

An Australian family, backed by one of South Africa s richest men, has bought its sixth Northern Territory cattle property, acquiring Larrizona Station for $17 million.
Pierre and Luciana Langenhoven add the 70,000 hectare Sturt Plateau station to their growing list of properties, which include Kalala, Tanumbirini, Forrest Hill, Mt McMinn and Big River Stations.
Since mid-2018 the family has spent more than $150 million buying more than 1.1 million hectares of Top End cattle country.
Larrizona Station, 165 kilometres south of Katherine, was sold walk-in-walk-out with around 6,000 head of Brahman cattle.

Even amid the pandemic, tobacco use remains a serious public health threat. In addition to tobacco-related death and disease, smoking also increases the risk of the most severe impacts of COVID-19, making ending tobacco use more important than ever. This year’s “State of Tobacco Control” report from the American Lung Association grades federal and state efforts to reduce tobacco use and calls for meaningful policies that will prevent and reduce tobacco use and save lives. The report finds that Rhode Island had mixed grades on its efforts to reduce and prevent tobacco use, earning an F grade for tobacco prevention and control funding and a D grade for flavored tobacco products.
St. Bernardâs School
These are some St. Bernardâs School second-gradersâ drawings of what honesty looks like to them. St. Bernard’s School has a prayer service led by one of the kindergarten through fifth grades each Friday to crown the week. The fifth-grade students in Mrs. Danielle Fitzgerald’s class recently focused on the school’s monthly virtue of honesty. In preparation, each student had drawn a picture of a situation where honesty served to protect the relationship of the persons involved. One student drew a picture of two people in a forest faced with a “No trespassing” sign, one saying, “OK, let’s go somewhere else.” In the student’s summarizing statement, he said, “We are being honest when we follow the rules. We need courage to be honest. We are honest when we tell the truth, even if other people don’t agree.”
