Four people were killed when a small plane crashed into a home in Mississippi late Tuesday night, police said.
Authorities in Hattiesburg were called to the scene of the civilian plane crash just before 11:30 p.m., Hattiesburg Police Public Information Officer Ryan Moore said.
Police initially said two people died; later Wednesday morning, they raised the toll to four. Authorities did not immediately identify the victims or say whether they were on the plane or in the home.
The Federal Aviation Administration was called to investigate the cause of the crash. Meanwhile, police said anyone who finds de, police said.

An aircraft crashed into a home late Tuesday in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, the police department said.
Two people died in the incident, the Hattiesburg Assistant Fire Chief Danny Wade said, according to CNN affiliate WDAM.
Emergency personnel on the scene said it was a small civilian plane, WDAM reported.
The Federal Aviation Administration has been contacted and is investigating the incident, police said. Residents are being advised not to touch or remove any debris.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - Four people are dead after a small plane crashed into a Hattiesburg home Tuesday evening.
Hattiesburg Police Department public information officer Ryan Moore said they were notified of an aircraft crash on Annie Christie Drive around 11:20 p.m.
Once at the scene, emergency personnel confirmed that a small civilian plane had crashed into a home.
Moore said four people were killed in the crash.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board have been contacted to investigate the crash.
