Sarah Taylor: It’s the Passion Meets Purpose podcast on this week’s episode, Natalie Grant.
Natalie Grant: I kind of feel like somebody is going to be listening to this. You feel like there’s something that God has asked you to do and you haven’t done it because fear has actually kept you in a place of not taking risk. God, typically in my life asks for the obedience first. And then once he sees your surrender and obedience, He goes okay, now I’m going to show you the next one steps.
Sarah Taylor: I am so excited about this episode for you with Natalie Grant. Number one, because we call this the Passion Meets Purpose podcast, and she demonstrates a lot of passion for a lot of really important things. Not just her music, which is incredible, not just her family, but also her heart for justice. She’s going to talk about how watching an episode of Law and Order one night led to her speaking in front of Congress and launching her own nonprofit to stop human trafficking

In recent weeks we have heard plenty of good news regarding western Colorado concerts and events, but not all the news is good.
In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic shut down virtually every public event known to man, including Country Jam, the downtown Grand Junction Music Festival, Pork n Hops, NightVision, and countless others. Many events are making a comeback in 2021, but NightVision is not one of them.
Night Vision Gets Canceled
The NightVision Music Festival in Olathe has grown into one of the largest music festivals in western Colorado, attracting nearly 16,000 people the last time it was held. The annual festival draws a large regional crowd to hear some of the top artists in Christian contemporary music. In 2019 such notables as For King & Country, Newsboys, Colton Dixon, and Jeremy Camp appeared on the Olathe stage. Last year, Christian music superstars Michael W. Smith, Chris Tomlin, Danny Gokey were scheduled to appear before the festival was canceled.
