Lewis & Clark Library is offering laptop/mobile hotspot kits to its checkout collection.
Beginning last week, the Augusta, East Helena, Lincoln and Main branches of the Lewis & Clark Library began offering a ChromeBook/HotSpot combo and a HP/HotSpot combo available for two-week checkout. Each branch will have two available kits to check out.
The HotSpots and the HP Laptops were provided by the Montana State Library, using Library Services and Technology Act funding that is provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
Each branch (Augusta, East Helena, Lincoln and the Main Branch) has a Chromebook/HotSpot available for checkout as well as an HP/HotSpot combo for checkout.

Four-time Grammy Award winner Mac Powell will appear at the Powerlight Fest at the Illinois State Fair Aug. 22.
Powell is the former lead singer of the multi-platinum Christian rock group Third Day, which disbanded in 2018.
Elsewhere, new dates have been announced for several shows at the University of Illinois Springfield Performing Arts Center and country act HARDY ( One Beer ) will headline the Mahomet Music Festival Aug. 27-28.
Third Day, which Powell helped form in 1991, is best known for Christian songs “Alien,” “Sky Falls Down” and “40 Days.” Its hit Nothing At All crossed over into mainstream radio.
Powell has been touring with his band The Family Reunion since the breakup of Third Day.
