Immigration in the Bay of Quinte region was in the provincial spotlight this week. The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board won an Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) Award of Excellence in the Workforce Development & Resident Attraction category for its documentary, A Place to Call Home. The film, which also won the Best Local Film award at Belleville Downtown DocFest in 2020, tells the story of new Canadians who have made the Bay of Quinte region their home.
