Delhi Police junks reports of Kejriwal s Z-Plus security removal ANI | Updated: Feb 26, 2021 01:29 IST The security cover provided to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal remains unchanged. There has been no reduction in the number of security personnel provided to him, said Delhi Police PRO.
Elaborating the details, Delhi Police PRO informed, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has been provided Z plus security by Delhi Police which comprises pilot, escort, close protection team, house guard, spotters, search and frisking staff etc in the form of 47 plainclothes security personnel and 16 uniformed CRPF personnel.
Earlier, a few media portals claimed that Delhi CM s Z plus security was likely to be removed following his visit to Gujarat.
Security across the national capital tightened on Saturday with the deployment of extra forces, putting up multi-layered barricades and barbed wires on the roads ahead of the proposed chakka jam by farmer unions who were protesting against the Centre s farm laws for over two months. Farmer unions on Monday announced a countrywide chakka jam on February 6. Heavy deployment of police personnel seen at Red Fort, as a preventive measure to dispel actions resulting from the calls for Chakka Jaam. Police along with the barricading measures at the Minto Bridge area deployed. The area has been blockaded as a peremptory counter-measure to thwart the calls. New Delhi [India], February 6 (ANI): Delhi Police on Saturday said they are examining the footage of violent incidents that took place during the farmers' tractor rally against the new farm laws on Republic Day, adding that the Cyber Cell is investigating videos and others material being uploaded and posted on social media from foreign locations.
