From a maximum of 26.8°C on 19th February, the temperature in Delhi shot up by 5°C on 23rd February. Base observatory of Delhi at Safdarjung clocked the day temperature of 31.5°C, about 7°C above the normal. Earlier the mercury in Delhi breached the 30°C marks on 10th February to register the highest of this season at 30.4°C.

The residents of the national capital on Wednesday continued woke up to experience sudden change of weather giving residents respite from the scorching heat.
Delhiites woke up to a mist in the morning with the minimum temperature settling above the normal average temperatures.
According to the MeT department the national capital may witness light rains. The rainy spell will most likely stay for three days till June 8 or June 9. However, the residents of Delhi may witness a sunny day on June 7 with maximum temperature likely at 42 degrees Celsius.
