Bomb Threat Made at Delta Walmart
A suspect that allegedly made a bomb threat at Delta s Walmart store has been arrested.
The suspect, 35-year-old Gabe Smith of Delta, allegedly made the threat on New Year s Eve (December 31st, 2020) which resulted in the Walmart store being evacuated that night.
Prior to the incident, Smith allegedly made threats to harm himself as well as others inside of the Walmart store hours earlier, threats that prompted police to arrive at the store to investigate around 6:45 p.m. on the same night that the bomb threats were made.
The Walmart store, located at 37 Stafford Lane in Delta, was greeted by police at the time of the initial threats but not shut down immediately.
