Telemundo31, Telemundo’s Central Florida property in Orlando, Fla., announced today that Miguelangel Lopez has been named the vp of news. In this new role, Lopez will oversee the station’s multi-platform news operation. He will report to Migdalia Figueroa, the president and general manager of Telemundo31. “Miguelangel is an outstanding manager and an experienced news leader,” said Figueroa. “I’m excited for him to join our team and look forward to seeing the new milestones he and our news staff will reach as we continue with our commitment of informing and empowering our audiences, now more than ever.” Lopez comes to Florida from Texas, where he has been the vp of news at KTLM since 2014.
