Meet the Authors: Virtual appearances April 25 to May 1 The Columbus Dispatch • Ohio authors: The Ohioana Book Festival  with virtual appearances by more than 130 authors  concludes today. Eight events  some live, some prerecorded  will be offered today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For a schedule and link to the free programs, go to www.ohioana.org. • Geoff Anderson, Kari Gunter-Seymour, Rose M. Smith: The Ohio poets will read from their works, answer questions and discuss other works that have inspired them in a virtual event at 7 p.m. Tuesday, presented by the Columbus Metropolitan Library. Virtual event to feature NYT best-sellers By Nicole Fowles - Glad You Asked This week, on Thursday, April 29, the Friends of the Delaware County District Library is hosting two New York Times bestselling authors! Kate Quinn and Martha Hall Kelly will be chatting with each other about their recent releases that are both currently recognized as bestsellers. You are invited to join the conversation and send the authors your questions, as well. Quinn, the author of “The Huntress” and “The Alice Network,” returns with another heart-stopping World War II story of three female code breakers at Bletchley Park, and the spy they must root out after the war is over in “The Rose Code.”

Trial for Former RMC Official Delayed Until June – Mix 94 7 KMCH

Trial was set to begin today for a former hospital official accused of stealing from Regional Medical Center, but the trial has been delayed once again. Mike Briggs, the former System Fund Development Director for RMC, is now set to stand trial on June 2nd in Delaware County District Court. Briggs and former CEO Lon Butikofer were charged with First Degree Theft two years ago. The State Auditor’s Office discovered they had accumulated over $256,000 in expenses for personal trips they claimed were for hospital business. The investigation spanned eight years from January 2009 to March 2017. Briggs has pleaded not guilty.
