Trial for Former RMC Official Delayed Until June – Mix 94.7 KMCH

Trial was set to begin today for a former hospital official accused of stealing from Regional Medical Center, but the trial has been delayed once again.
Mike Briggs, the former System Fund Development Director for RMC, is now set to stand trial on June 2nd in Delaware County District Court.
Briggs and former CEO Lon Butikofer were charged with First Degree Theft two years ago. The State Auditor’s Office discovered they had accumulated over $256,000 in expenses for personal trips they claimed were for hospital business. The investigation spanned eight years from January 2009 to March 2017.
Briggs has pleaded not guilty.
