Terry Hensley was sentenced to 14 years in prison Thursday morning after previously accepting a plea deal and pleading guilty to a first-degree manslaughter charge for a crash that killed his 36-year-old girlfriend.
“I like helping in the community as much as I can,” he said.
And as part of the museum board, Noonan said he hopes to “help expand the exposure of the history and fishing museum to the community.” I feel honored,” Noonan said of the opportunity to serve.
Belcher, who has volunteered at the museum in the past and helped on projects such as the restoration of the Primrose and the old Post Office, is more than happy to serve.
The Primrose is one of Destin’s oldest fishing boats, built in 1925 and is on display at the museum.
By working on those projects, Belcher said he “developed an appreciation” for Destin’s efforts to preserve so many artifacts.
To the editor,
I am a 74-year-old woman who is a member of Kennedy Club Fitness in Paso Robles. In March I was in the hospital and when I returned home I was greeted by the Covid shutdown order. My family was concerned for me so brought me food, sent care packages, and talked to me on the phone. It didn’t work! I’m a social person and need interaction with others.
I began to decline and become very depressed. My doctor said I needed to get some exercise. My granddaughter worked at Kennedy and told me about the Aqua Aerobics class. They were open and so I tried it. I met some really great people my age and became part of a group that is supportive and fun.
