Terry Case, the owner and operator of Farway Common Airfield, has passed away.
His sons, Graham and Simon, said, “For those that haven’t heard the news, unfortunately, our father passed away peacefully at Exeter and Devon Hospital on Friday 8th January.
“Dad had become quite frail during 2020 and alas fell ill in November. The ambulance team decided he was very dehydrated and took him into hospital. He was tested positive for Covid-19 on arrival but showed no signs of the disease. We think that it was a false positive as none of the friends that had close contact with him suffered in any way.

WASHINGTON Getting a mortgage for a resort-area condo might become more difficult after Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac moved to tighten rules on buildings with many short-term rentals and hotel-like amenities, some Realtors and bankers say.
Fannie Mae last month changed its rules to make it clearer that it won’t back certain loans in high-rent vacation areas, with Freddie Mac taking similar steps that go into effect next month.
The moves by the two government-controlled mortgage giants come as the Trump administration seeks to shrink their footprint in housing, especially in areas such as vacation properties that may not serve the core mission of encouraging homeownership by making it more affordable.

A laser eye center in Huntsville has a new lens available for people who want to correct their cataracts and better their vision.
Doctors at Laser Eye Center in Huntsville are now able to offer their patients a new cataract corrective lens called the Vivity Lens.
It helps people see far and near in good lighting without contacts or glasses. It also helps with seeing in the dark.
