COVID-19 vaccine hub will open to serve Irving and Grand Prairie
Legislators from the two cities recently requested the hub to accommodate the cities’ large populations, including many residents who lack transportation. with additional details about the opening.
A new COVID-19 vaccine hub will open Wednesday in Grand Prairie to provide its first allotment of 500 vaccines.
Vaccine supply is still limited, but the site will open Monday through Friday as soon as it receives additional doses.
Emergency management teams from Grand Prairie and Irving will manage the hub, which will be at The Theatre at Grand Prairie, 1001 Performance Place. The teams led a trial run this week to prepare, according to the Grand Prairie Fire Department.

This is because, currently, Texas law leaves it up to the individual law enforcement officer to decided whether or not to conduct a blood alcohol test on a motorist when they hit a pedestrian.
