No details were released on the death which was included on the COVID-19 dashboard as the province is not providing bulletin updates on weekends. It brings the provincial death toll due to the pandemic to 1,148.
Of the 48 new cases reported Saturday, 31 are from Winnipeg along with eight from Prairie Mountain, five from Northern, four from Southern and none in Interlake-Eastern. The total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba is now 56,353.
