For the second time in about five weeks, the former mayor of Hodgenville has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants.
Terry Cruse, 63, was arrested by Elizabethtown police Wednesday afternoon and told officers he had been drinking alcohol, according to an arrest report. He took a Breathalyzer test and his alcohol level was .139, according to the Elizabethtown Police Department. The state legal limit is .08.
Officers responded Wednesday around 4:30 p.m. to East Dixie Avenue and New Glendale Road for a single-vehicle crash. Police made contact with Cruse, the driver of the vehicle involved and according to an arrest report, Cruse was âvisibly impaired.â
