SAN DIEGO How would you like a job where you set your own hours? A job that is always outdoors and allows you to stand out from the pack? In this Zevely Zone, I went to Balboa Park to meet a dog walker who turns heads where ever she goes. Good dogs, said Dorothy Agius who I spotted walking 16 dogs. PANAMA CITY Every (salty) dog has his day, so they say.
Salty Dog Day in St. Andrews will be Saturday, Feb. 27, starting with the weekly Market at St. Andrews along Beck Avenue from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. This dog-friendly event will be an extension of The Market with proceeds benefiting Operation Spay Bay.
The market will include dog merchandise vendors, veterinarians, a shot clinic, a microchip booth, treat stations, dog play area, food, music, shopping and live entertainment, as well as the Blessing of the Dogs, adoptions, a silent auction and raffles. Salty Dog Day is not confined to The Market at St. Andrews, according to Lisa Barnes-Tapscott, executive director of the Historic St. Andrews Waterfront Partnership. There is fun for dogs and their people throughout dog-friendly Historic St. Andrews on Salty Dog Day. Stroll through Historic St. Andrews and enjoy fresh water, doggie treats and activities for our canine friends.
