Home Damaged In Alexander County Fire Firefighters respond to weekend fire in Ellendale community Photo Courtesy of Rick Gilbert, WACB Home Damaged In Alexander County Fire February 8, 2021 A home in the Ellendale Community of Alexander County sustained damage in a fire on Friday (February 5). The Ellendale, Bethlehem, and Taylorsville Fire Departments were dispatched to 594 Willie McLoud Road at approximately 3 p.m. Alexander County Fire Marshal Garrett Huffman said that the double wide mobile home structure suffered significant damage to the kitchen and also sustained smoke damage throughout. Huffman said the home can be repaired despite the damage. There were no injuries reported.
