BALDWIN – Those full flowing voices give The Wild Feathers wings.
Soaring, soulful three-part harmonies weave through the nationally known Nashville band s seamless blend of Southern rock, Americana roots and heartland pop.
It s a sound to behold May 16, when the Wild Feathers headline The Crafthouse Stage & Grill in Pittsburgh s South Hills.
A night earlier, the Wild Feathers launch the summer concert season at Port Farms in Waterford, southeast of Erie.
Mixing a healthy dose of originals with a handful of covers, setlists for each show will be different promises the man who creates them, Wild Feathers bassist-vocalist Joel King. It all depends on the vibe of the place, King said. If the crowd is really engaged, we might pull out (Bob Dylan s) I Shall be Released. QUINCY For Eileen Kerin, being bald was a first, but she was just one of many who had their heads shaved in solidarity with Quinn Waters, 5, of Weymouth.
Kerin, of Hyde Park, said she secured more than $3,000 in donations from various friends for a fundraiser for The Mighty Quinn on Sunday. But it all hinged on getting her head shaved.
Kerin was not alone as a row of six barbers waited for Quincy and Weymouth police officers, children, men and women to shave it all off at Quincy s Pageant Field. I was fine about it, Kerin said. Then on the drive here, my wife kept asking me if I was nervous. But it s just hair. It will grow back, although I guess I need to wear sunscreen on my head now, or start wearing hats.

After five and a half years of business in downtown Brunswick, Big E’s owner Katie Winglass announced last week that the burrito establishment will close May 8.
In an interview, Winglass said that the decision was not related to the COVID-19 pandemic but instead she just felt it was the right time.
“I had a five year plan when I first started the business,” Winglass said. “It’s certainly not because business wasn’t good.”
Winglass said the building located at 111 Maine Street is now under contract but declined to specify how much it sold for.
