The Association of Students of the University of Nebraska 2021-22 senate will meet for its first full meeting Wednesday in what will also be the final meeting of the 2020-21 academic year.Â
President Batool Ibrahim, internal Vice President Taylor Jarvis and external Vice President Patrick Baker will all give their first executive reports.Â
Government Bill 1 will be presented. If this bill passes, ASUN will allocate up to $4250 from the Green Fund budget to the Student Organic Farm.
Additionally, the bill would also require the leaders of the farm to give a report to the senate body following the completion of the project.Â

The 2020-21 Association of Students of the University of Nebraska administration will be voting on the final bills of its term at the weekly meeting Wednesday night before the transition to the 2021-22 administration.Â
If Government Bill 41 passes, ASUN will allocate up to $4,250 to the Student Organic Farm from the 2020-21 ASUN Green Fund budget. Additionally, the bill calls on the leaders of the farm to give a report to ASUN following the completion of the project.Â
The Student Organic Farm, located on East Campus, allows students to connect, learn and grow food, according to the farmâs website.
If Government Bill 42 passes, ASUN will continue to work with the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor to advocate for transparency in student fees for the 2021-22 academic year as well as future years. ASUN would create a webpage under the Student Fees tab of its website that would directly link to the new Executive Vice Chancellor website that strives to underline all man
In whatever space Taylor Jarvis enters, she tries to advocate for those around her and make the University of Nebraska-Lincoln a better place for all.
A self-proclaimed intensely Type A, ready-to-rock person who does not sit for very long, Jarvis said she is looking forward to being the Association of Students of the University of Nebraskaâs internal vice president and to serve alongside President-elect Batool Ibrahim and external Vice President-elect Patrick Baker.Â
âKnowing the potential that I see in them right now,â Jarvis said, âIâm looking forward to what weâre able to accomplish and to spend more time with them.â
