Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland will gain £38,419 in funding from the ScottishPower Foundation. The charity will use the funding to help develop and implement its Tool for Transition programme. Deborah Roe, director of fundraising, said: “SBH Scotland is delighted to receive a grant from the ScottishPower Foundation to provide education support, advice and advocacy to children and young people with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. Children and young people facing the transition from nursery to primary and secondary school will be offered a bespoke programme of support including school talks, continence support and finance & benefits advice for parents; ensuring that children have the best possible start in life.

A mum is backing pleas from Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland for vital support during the pandemic – a charity close to her heart.
Fred MacAuley, Janey Godley and Fran Healy SCOTS celebrities joined the world s biggest virtual Burns Supper to raise £30k for a worthy cause. The event was streamed live on Monday evening to a global audience of 9000 people who enjoyed performances from famous Scots. Viewers coined £30k for the Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland (SBH Scotland) charity and enjoyed a poem by Janey Godley as well as a rendition of Auld Lang Syne by Travis front-man Fran Healy. Other Scottish stars sent messages of support including The Krankies and Joe McFadden. The evening was hosted by former BBC Radio Scotland host Fred MacAulay.
CIBC donates $100,000 to Croatia earthquake relief efforts
