The search for two missing Yreka brothers ended in tragedy Saturday afternoon when 18-year-old Colin Brannon and Carl Blossomgame, age 23, were found dead in a vehicle about 200 feet down a mountainside near Pioneer Bridge on Highway 263.
The family had been searching for the brothers since Thursday, when they became concerned for their safety after realizing no one had seen or heard from either Colin or Carl since Monday, Feb. 15.
“I got a text from them on Valentine’s Day, saying ‘Happy Valentine’s Day mom,” said the mens’ mother, Deborah Formosa, who lives in South Carolina. That’s the last time she heard from either of her sons.
