RIO DE JANEIRO: Brazil’s health regulator cited security concerns, criticizing the Russian government, rejecting requests from several states to import about 30 million doses of Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine.

The agency, known as Avisa, stated that all clinical studies of the development of the vaccine had defects, as well as absent or insufficient data.
