LESSONS LEARNED
Be ready to work: No one who owns a small business starts with a full staff of employees. The owner, at first, usually wears lots of hats. That also leads to a lot of long work days.
Start at home: Depending on your financing and where you would like to open a brick-and-mortar location, you may not have the funds to do so at the outset. Inventory can be stored at your home. Items can be displayed on a website or via social media. You can also offer delivery service and shipping.
