Sesame Street has been chasing the clouds away for over 50 years, and tonight, ABC plans to celebrate with a two-hour documentary, aptly named Sesame Street: 50 Years of Sunny Days. (airing on ABC at 8pm ET).

Meu favorito: “Judas e o Messias Negro”
Um ano de grandes filmes. “Minari” ainda vai estrear (nos cinemas), outros passaram no streaming, alguns estrearam modestamente em meio à pandemia. “Nomadland” é o grande favorito, conquistou os principais prêmios de Melhor Filme. Outros se destacaram nesta categoria ou em premiações de Melhor Elenco: “Bela Vingança” levou o BAFTA [Outstanding British Film] e mais de 15 outros prêmios, e “Os 7 de Chicago” ficou com o Screen Actors Guild de Melhor Elenco, entre outros.
Dos oito, ainda não pude assistir a “Minari”, “O Som do Silêncio” e “Bela Vingança”. Entre os não indicados, vale a menção para “Uma Noite em Miami”, “Destacamento Blood”, “Tenet”, “Palm Springs” e “The Forty-Year-Old-Version”.

Correndo por fora: Riz Ahmed (“O Som do Silêncio”)
Meu favorito: Chadwick Boseman (“A Voz Suprema do Blues”)
Não vi todos ainda. Uma disputa interessante porque, até janeiro de 2021, Riz Ahmed era o favorito por “O Som do Silêncio”, mas a partir daí o saudoso Chadwick Boseman começou a levar os principais prêmios por “A Voz Suprema do Blues”: Screen Actors Guild, Globo de Ouro e Critics’ Choice Awards.
Vale o destaque ao incrível trabalho de Anthony Hopkins, vencedor do BAFTA, em “Meu Pai”. Entre os que não foram indicados, menção para Delroy Lindo (“Destacamento Blood”) e Kingsley Ben-Adir (“Uma Noite em Miami”), que também levaram diversos prêmios. Sacha Baron Cohen levou dois prêmios de Melhor Ator (o Globo de Ouro por “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm”, e outro por “Os 7 de Chicago”) e concorre por este último na categoria de Melhor Ator Coadjuvante.
