State resources sent to Rockport as the city prepares for more heavy rain The City Manager tells 3News that the state has sent Texas Task Force One and DPS has sent their Marine Unit. Due to all the rain that fell in Rockport this week, there are many low lying areas around town that are still seeing some flooding along the streets.

Credit: Miguel Gutierrez Jr./The Texas Tribune and last updated 2021-02-18 19:46:52-05 BRAZOS COUNTY, TX â Texas Task Force One [TX-TF1] is ready to deploy for winter storm assistance if needed, as is the Texas National Guard. Neither has been dispatched to the Brazos Valley. However, the Texas Military Department recently dispatched 300 service members to assist across the State. National Guardsmen and women have been transporting residents to warming stations, and have assisted first responders. The Brazos Valley has not received any of these soldiers at this time, because local first responders have not requested any extra assistance.
