(Seguin) – The Seguin Unit of the Salvation Army will be teaming up with the Seguin ISD on Tuesday morning to provide food and water to anybody who needs it. Unlike other food drives, this event does not require registration. Instead, Anthony Torres, the Region 6 senior representative for the Texas Salvation Army, says families will be served on a first come, first serve basis.
“The only thing that you have to do is show up. We are going to ask for a name, who we are giving the food to and the number of people in the household. We want to keep track of the number of people that we are serving in your community. Even though, we give one food box to the driver, it doesn’t mean that there is not five or six people in the family, so we want to see where that goes and how the food actually helps,” said Torres.
