A fireworks display will be held July 2 at Alvin P. Williams Memorial Park in the Sewaren section of Woodbridge.
Gates to the park open at 4 p.m.
Officials will present Killed-In-Action flags to families who lost a loved one from Woodbridge in any wars in the past. Call the Recreation Department at 732-596-4048 to register someone. The ceremony should begin at 7:30 p.m.
The Nerds will perform after the fireworks.
“Bringing the Night to Life” fireworks will be presented by Pyrotecnico Fireworks at around 9:30 p.m.
Lawn chairs, blankets and picnics are encouraged. There is no reserved seating.

The new hours started on June 28. The Teen Center will be open Monday to Friday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. It s open to teenagers from 13 to 17-years-old.

Before the extended hours, the Teen Center was open Mondays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Wednesdays from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA A Douglas County emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence has been awarded a $10,000 grant by a Georgia credit union with a branch in Douglasville.
Atlanta-based Delta Community Credit Union presented its grant last week to S.H.A.R.E. House Family Violence Crisis Center during an online ceremony. According to officials with S.H.A.R.E., the money will be used to support their Teen Center, which provides youth activities for shelter residents.
