Last year, Dee Poku-Spalding founded The WIE Suite, a membership-only community for businesswomen.
WIE Suite already has 500 members and 750 women on the waitlist.
Poku-Spalding says the community is centered around making introductions and doing deals.
According to Dee Poku-Spalding, women don t need to lean in more, they need more people to write checks for their ideas, make important introductions, and be their advocates. Women are always being asked to be better themselves, Poku-Spalding said. Rather than being put in the right advantageous situations that would allow them to succeed.
