View From Lodi, CA: Mickey Mouse (And H-1B Temporary Workers) vs American Middle Class | Articles

a- The Walt Disney Company is a microcosm of today s corporate America: millions paid in salary and bonus for the big boys while the company downsizes by laying-off staff. The remaining employees are squeezed as hard as possible. Finally, foreign workers are hired on H-1B non-immigrant visas thus shutting out qualified Americans from mid-level management positions. For the lucky ones at Disney, January started out with a financial bang. On January 6, Disney announced that Chief Executive Michael Eisner received a $7.35 million cash bonus in 2004. With his base salary of $1 million and other compensation, Eisner s total pay package was $8.3 million.

Raglan Road Mighty St Patrick s Festival returns to Disney Springs

Raglan Road’s popular Mighty St. Patrick’s Festival is marked and underlined on The Disney Blog’s calendar every year. The food, the dance, the music and, of course, the atmosphere bring the best of Ireland to Central Florida as only Raglan Road can do. In 2021, the festival is back, but with changes that put guest safety at top billing. Think of it as Mighty St. Patrick’s Festival – Unplugged. The event promises to be more acoustic than electric. More intimate than boisterous. It will feature the same great live entertainment, with all bands imported from Ireland, and the same delicious Irish food and drink. But with reservations required to keep attendance limited.

Big Changes at Magic Kingdom, Fans Won t Be Happy

I have a lot of friends and family who are secret Disney fans. Grown adults who love all the Disney movies, characters, merchandise, and especially trekking to their Mecca - the Mac Daddy Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida. I love Disney World too, so I was surprised to see that once again they are making changes that are bound to make some of its core customers very angry. On Monday the official Disney Parks Blog announced that they will no longer offer their Magical Bus Express service, starting on January 1, 2022. This means that airport travelers who are staying at Disney Resorts will now have to pay for rides to and from the resort through rideshare services, busses, rental cars, or various other means. The Express service has been complimentary for guests since 2005, even though you had to make a reservation in advance to be picked up from Orlando International Airport.
