EDMONTON - An aggressive style and timely goaltending paid off for the Calgary Flames on Thursday night. The effort also improved their chances of catching Montreal for the final playoff spot in the North Division.

Jesse Puljujarvi, 5. He and Kahun were bumped off the top line in the third, as coach Dave Tippett tried new lines to fire up the squad. He had played reasonably well up until then and helped manufacture a dangerous Kulikov chance.
