WEYMOUTH- High school boys soccer coach Bill McEachern might have summed up his team’s season after its opening game, 2-1 win over Braintree, Oct.6.
The game was the latest beginning for the soccer program in its history because the Massachusetts High School Association did not initially know if teams would be able to play due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Before the Wildcats began playing, they had enjoyed the success of being in the post-season tournament for 30 straight years, but this year would be different.
Weymouth and teams throughout the state did not participate in the post season tournament and instead played a shortened schedule because of the pandemic.
