Clarksville NowProvided by Brittany ProctorLakelyn Reed protests her visit with Santa.
Lakelyn Reed, 2, didn’t quite understand the concept of asking Santa for toys when she was placed in the jolly man’s lap last year.
Instead, her fear took voice and she tried to take flight the second she sat down.
Chris Smith, Clarksville Now editor, presents The Proctor family with their $500 prize for 2-year-old Lakelyn’s photo in the Scared of Santa Photo Contest.
“We took the photo last Christmas. She was so excited to see Santa, and then when it was our turn in line, she completely freaked out and started crying,” her mom, Brittany Proctor, said. “She threw a fit the whole time she sat on Santa’s lap.”
