Glocester man arrested after fatal crash
GLOCESTER – Travis Beaulieu, of Glocester, pictured, has been arrested for a motor vehicle crash that killed one Connecticut woman and her dog on Sunday, Feb. 21.
At approximately 7:12 p.m. on Sunday, members of the Glocester Police Department, along with members of the Chepachet and West Glocester Fire Departments, responded to a serious motor vehicle accident with entrapment, according to a press release from the Glocester Police Department. The accident was located in the area of 2953 Putnam Pike, just east of the Connecticut state line.
Beaulieu, 25, of 5 Oil Mill Lane in Glocester, was driving a 2006 Ford F-350 pick-up truck eastbound at a speed in excess of the 50 mph posted speed, according to a preliminary investigation. The investigation showed that Beaulieu travelled left of center into the westbound travel lane to pass a line of vehicles that were traveling eastbound, and his vehicle collided head-on with a 2013 V

PUTNAM, Conn. A beloved businesswoman from Putnam and her dog were killed in a crash in Rhode Island this weekend.
Police made an arrest and the driver is facing charges. The biggest thing that went through my head is this can happen to anybody anytime, said Brigitte Lewis, a close family friend.
