Two Twentynine Palms men were recently arrested in separate incidents, accused of driving under the influence, and other charges. About 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle near Cactus Drive and Cholla Avenue in Twentynine Palms. Driving the vehicle was Troy Foster, 49. Believed that Foster was driving under the influence, Deputies performed a field sobriety test and determined that he was driving while impaired. Troy Foster was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence of drugs, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, cited, and released.
Then about 1 p.m. Thursday, deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Travis Hunt, 21, near Baseline Road and Bedouin Avenue in Twentynine Palms. Deputies determined that Hunt was driving under the influence of drugs. Hunt had multiple warrants for his arrest. Deputies also found drug paraphernalia inside his vehicle.
