PRAYAGRAJ: A couple was found murdered at their residence at Mani Ka Pura Mazra village under the limits of Soraon police station in trans-Ganga on early Wednesday morning. The unidentified killers, however, maintained mercy on the 10 month-old infant son of the slain couple and escaped unchallenged.
Upon being alerted, senior police officials including SSP, SP (trans-Ganga) along with the police and forensic experts rushed to the spot and carried out investigations.
The deceased have been identified as Devranjan alias Dev Narayan (30) and his wife Ranjana(28), residents of Mani Ka Pura. The bodies of husband and wife were spotted on separate cots with their throats slit. The motive behind the sensational killing was still unknown.

PRAYAGRAJ: A two members committee comprising ADM (Administration) and SP (Trans Ganga) has been constituted to probe the incident wherein some unidentified persons had removed shrouds from the bodies buried in the sand at Shringverpur ghat on the banks of Ganga river in trans Ganga area of Prayagraj district.
The district authorities swung into action after a video clip wherein some unidentified men were spotted removing shrouds from bodies buried in sand at Shringverpur Ghat went viral on social media on Tuesday.
District Magistrate (Prayagraj) Bhanu Chandra Goswami and DIG \ SSP (Prayagraj) Sarvashresth Tripathi found the issue sensitive and serious and further ordered the probe into the incident.
