SVC boys conference basketball action concluded for calendar year 2020 Saturday with Adena and Unioto tied at the top with (4-0) records.
The Warriors handled Piketon in Frankfort to the tune of 46-26 while Unioto took down Zane Trace 50-40, handing the Pioneers their first SVC loss of the season.
Adena travels to Unioto to restart conference play on Saturday, January 2nd in what will be a battle of SVC co-leaders on
94 Country WKKJ.
In the Warriors win, they led at every stop in a game that never saw them in any real trouble. Adena led 11-2 after the first quarter, 23-11 at half, 34-23 after three, then the 46-26 final.

Unioto overcame a strong Piketon start and put together an impressive finish of their own in a 53-25 win Saturday.
The Redstreaks held first half leads of 21-13 and 23-15, before the Shermans rallied to within 28-27 at halftime, then outscored Piketon 26-7 in the second half.
A big part of the second half turnaround was the Shermans defense, which forced 9 third quarter turnovers and 12 for the second half and 16 for the game. Piketon was also held to only 1/3 shooting from the field in the third period.
For the game, Unioto was 23/43 for 53%- including 3/11 from the arc and were 4/4 from the foul line. The Tanks committed 10 turnovers and commanded the rebounding with a 25-9 edge.
