While utilizing remote video surveillance systems (RVSS), agents observed a group of individuals illegally enter the U.S. by climbing over the border wall. While monitoring the group, RVSS operators observed a small child being suspended from atop the border wall and dropped to an awaiting person below, USBP said.

Border Patrol agents witnessed smugglers dropping a toddler over a southern border wall on Sunday.
San Diego Sector Border Patrol agents observed a group of smugglers trying to pass a 2-year-old child over the 18-foot wall just before midnight, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. As they were handing the toddler off, he fell but did not sustain injuries.
The group of migrants trying to get across the border were observed on a remote surveillance system. Agents were dispatched, and upon further investigation, it was discovered that the toddler was dropped into the supposed father’s arms on the U.S. side of the wall. Both the father and the baby are citizens of Ghana with no legal status within the country.
