Dane Dunning has been placed on the ten day injured list with an ankle impingement, the Texas Rangers announced today. Taking his place on the active roster is Demarcus Evans, who was recalled from AAA Round Rock. In addition, the Rangers announced that David Dahl has been replaced on release waivers.
Dunning’s ankle has apparently been bothering him his last few starts, and this move should allow him to miss just one start before being activated again. Evans, meanwhile, is the guy who the Rangers keep bouncing up and down as needed in the pen.
