SH Junior High Boys Win, Girls Lose at Tipton
The Junior High Boys “A” team (10-0, 8-0) beat the Tipton Cardinals by a score of 53-24 last night in the SH Gym.
Conner Brown led the Gremlins with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Grant Goodwin chipped in with 15 points and 7 assists.
The B Team (3-1-2, 3-0-2) beat the Cardinals 13-6. Zander Jackson and Jeydan Salazar led the scoring with 4 points each.
The boys continue their conference schedule Thursday, Feb. 4 at home vs the Windsor Greyhounds. The girls game starts at 5:30 followed by boys A and boys B action.
The Junior High Girls lost their game with the Tipton Cardinals last night by a score of 13-31.
SH Junior High Boys Take Trophy at Invite
The Junior High Boys “A” (7-0, 5-0) won two games over the weekend to bring home the championship trophy in the Sacred Heart Junior High Invite.
On Friday evening the Grems utilized a terrific third quarter to outdistance the Tipton Cardinals by a score of 58-25.
Grant Goodwin led the Grems in scoring with 19 points, 4 assists and 4 steals. Connor Brown added 15 points and 8 rebounds.
On Saturday morning SH was able to beat the Stover Bulldogs 48-13 in the final game of the round robin affair.
Josh Pacheco hit 4 three pointers to lead the Grems with 12 points. Grant Goodwin scored 11 points and added 7 assists. Connor Brown chipped in with 10 points and 5 rebounds.
SH Junior High Girls Fall to 0-6
The Junior High Girls dropped a couple more games over the last two days to fall to 0-6 on the season.
The girls lost to the Tipton Cardinals on Friday by a score of 18-32. Ava Stone scored 6 points while Jasmine Fuentes chipped in 5 points of her own.
On Saturday, the girls fell to the Stover Bulldogs by a score of 13-27. Jasmine Fuentes led the Lady Grems in scoring with 6 points.
The girls next action is Monday night in Smithton against the Tigers. Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m., followed by the boys games.
